Better Syndication for Classifieds?

Real Estate Agent with QUEST REALTY SERVICES

Apparently in an attempt to bloster their sagging classified advertising numbers, a large group of newspapers and Zillow have agreed to join together to spread classified advertising to Zillow online. Newspaper classified advertisers can choose to put their ad on On the flip side the newspaper publishers will be able to use Zillow's real estate info to add to their own websites.

I don't know if that'll work to increase classified ads. Most real estate agents have been shying away from newspaper classifieds and turning to increased internet exposure instead.

You're right, Armando.  newspapers are a dying breed, and there is almost nothing they can do, other than do diversify and invest their efforts online.  Online ads are still in their infancy, and will only continue to be enhanced in every way.

Classified ads just plain don't work anymore UNLESS THEY ARE ON CRAIGSLIST!

We stopped ads in the newspapers Armondo because they are so negative about the Real Estate Market!

I haven't had any luck in years by advertising in the Orlando Sentinel except with for rent ads.  The for sale ads get lost in the shuffle.  I have much better luck on Craigslist and by other marketing techniques like lots of signage and postcards.

Mike, Michael, Grace, Rob, Elizabeth, It seems we're all in agreement on this one. Newspapers Classifieds are going the way of the dinosaur.
