Living in the Hudson Valley I run across buildings from other periods. Over the years of have seen a variety of outhouses. Some were ornate and other were just plain.
The one in the photography was on the grounds of Cedar Grove one of the many Historic sites to be found in the area. I must say the colors certainly make you take a second look,

Jennifer, That has got to be one of the best looking outhouses in the country. It certainly beats anything that I have ever seen.
Now that's a pretty fancy outhouse. We use to have outhouses on the farm and I can assure you they looked nothing like this one.
Very cute little "Out", house! I remember 20 years ago when I visited my sister in Mississippi, she actually had an outhouse on her 20 acre property!
Jennifer--You can snazz it up anyway you want...it's the smell that always got me. Very nice...from a distance anyway. lol

Oh my, Jennifer - I'm assuming that outhouse is now just for appearance sakes, LOL. Someone sure did put a lot of thought and work into making that adorable.
I would classify this as one of the best looking outhouses that I have ever seen. I will admit that I have very limited experience with outhouses.
