Amazing Experience at a Small Bistro in PostFalls Idaho called the Oval Office

Oval OfficeYesterday, we had the most amazing experience at a small Bistro in Post Falls, Idaho, called the Oval Office.  Owned by Raci Erdem, a young man who immigrated to the US as a teenager landing in New York City. Raci began working in French, Turkish and American restaurants before finding his way to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  He worked in several restaurants in Spokane (including the former Salty’s now Anthonys).  He had not yet made his way to being Chef.

He and a friend opened the White House Grill in a very small place on Spokane Street  (formerly a sandwich shop) and for several years they packed people, litterly, into this tiny place.  But then the bank  building on the corner became available and Raci jumped on this opportunity and moved the White House Grill a few hundred feet to the current location.

Once again Raci was in the right place at the right time, as the original place of the White House Grill became available.

Oval Office BarThe orignial building, he calls The Oval Office and they specialize in Martinis and what Raci calls electric bisro food.  Every day from 3pm to 6pm you can get their appetizers and martinis for only $5.50 each.  This small but cozy place is almost always packed. The bar area is usually filled with standing customers and the dining areas are filled with laughing patrons enjoying the delicious appetizers, martinis, and entrees.

We were able to take pictures and tomorrow I will talk about the specific foods that we ate and we do have some really great pictures to share with you.
