Yesterday, I talked about what a great experience I had at the Oval Office in Post Falls Idaho. Well, today I would like to share about the appetizers that we had. 
We started with the Calamari, which usually I am not a fan of but these were cooked to perfection, they were flash fried and served with a spicy caper sauce. Umm… they were so good.
Next we had sweet potato fries and I have never had sweet potato fries like this before. They were fried and smothered in a creamy gorgonzola cheese sauce 
and finished with gorgonzola crumbles. Wow! You have to try this for yourself and you won’t regret it one bit.
Then we had Skinny Secretaries – asparagus grilled and tossed in a lemon-olive oil sauce. Now I have had lots asparagus so I wasn’t prepared to be impressed but again the asparagus was cooked to perfection and it was delicious.
The last but not least appetizer was the Fufu Pizza and this also was very tasty, it is made with a homemade pesto, feta & sun-dried tomatoes baked on a pita with parmesan cheese. All of the appetizers were presented in a colorful and appealing manner and we didn’t leave a single scrap. Tomorrow I will talk about the entrees and also have pictures to share.
