Realtor designates membership in a local board of Realtors, a state association such as the TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS, and the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS. Members are required to follow a strict code of ethics and are encouraged to pursue continuing real estate education.

·        Look for an agent who shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward your specific home buying needs. That isn't necessarily the person who talks fastest or longest. As a homebuyer the most important question you should ask of yourself about choosing a Realtor is "Can you work with this person?"

Remember you and the Realtor you choose will become partners while house hunting. And if you're going to choose a partner it should be with someone you are comfortable with.
