Where do I find topics for my blog? ~ Carroll County, Maryland

Where do I find topics for my blog? Everywhere! More specifically, the office, during phone conversations, personal conversations, webinars, ce classes, as I work through a transaction and a issue or funny thing happens.

One of the best lessons I learned at RainCamp was/is to look in your email for topics. The questions we are asked everyday from buyers and sellers, friends and family are the same questions everyone wants the answers too.

If we, and this is a goal of mine, write a blog that answers the questions and create our own library of answers we can save ourselves so much time by saying, “No Mr. Seller, that’s not a stupid question, no question is stupid. That’s why you hired me, to help you understand the process. You are not the first person to ask that question and you will not be the last. Check out my blog on specifically xyz.” We also give our clients & customers another resource that contains our professional opinion regarding a subject.

Don’t forget to add some non-professional topics. I love to talk about my family and what ever is going on, softball, visiting family, quiting smoking, etc. How about community events? Town history? Sporting events? Animal Shelters? Senior Centers? The list goes on & on. Once you start thinking about blogging you’ll have more topics than you can blog about!
