Costa Concordia Cruise- Italy, January 2008
Gee, the ship looks so beautiful. It is so sad to see human error cause a disaster that takes lives of people who only wanted to enjoy time with a loved one or friends.
Betty
That is one big ship, did you cruise on her and did you have a good time/
Even while it is laying on its side in the water, you can tell it was a gorgeous ship! You were fortunate to have been on it. . .In January 2008. What a difference 4 years can make! Gorgeous pictures too!
Nick & Trudy- yes, we cruised on her in January 2008. The cruise left Italy and went to Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Cypress and it was a beautiful ship. The trip itself was very life-changing for my wife and I and it's just so surreal to see it laying on its side in the ocean and knowing our feet were on that ship.
Glad you went, enjoyed and made it home safe and sound. Sadly a different story for so many families now.
John- events like this certainly make you appreciate life a little more.
Brian- it was a great ship and I'm glad we have pictures to remember it.
David, it looks like an absolutely beautiful ship. Every one I know that has been on a cruise has loved the experience, and one person's error shouldn't detract from the industry.
David - I'm so glad you have these pictures to remember her by and not the ones we are seeing now.
Karen & Toni- I agree she looks better right-side up and it's better to remember the ship this way.
Wow David! And four years later, in such a disaster! It's really too bad.
