Wow what a great morning!! Last night Jerry Newman officially introduced me to Active Rain. He should really be head of the Welcome Committee. Jerry is so kind and warm energy just flows from his great blogs, and it is evident that he is here to help make Active Rain Newbies like myself successful in the rain. He is a fellow Texan and just an awesome friend to have here :))))
I have met some other wonderful people on here like Lisa Dunham from Virginia. She is one of the first friends I met here. She writes great blog and we relate to each other on the wonderful fact that being Realtors allows us to have careers that balance with motherhood.
I have subscribed to some Active Rain legends that I have learned so much from. Their years and years of experiences has given me an education in real estate that you can not get in the classroom or on any other platform really. I have thoroughly enjoyed Alan May's blog. He is so hilarious but at the same time a great person to learn from. If we ever met I'm sure I wouldn't be able to stop laughing :o)) Love, love Morklefeather's blog!!
I've been following Greg Nino's blog. He is also a fellow Houstonian. He tells it like it is and is super funny. I think I've read about just any crazy situation you can come across in real estate on his blog.
I just subscribed to Barbara Todaro's blog. She is another Active Rain legend!! Congratulations to her for making it to the Millionaire's Club. Her blog is chockful of wonderful advice and I look forward to reading all of it, there is a wealth of information there for this newbie Realtor :)
Loreena Yeo is another amazing legend on here. She posted a vlog not too long ago where she expressed her gratitude to Active Rain (I think it was when she made it to the MM Club) She was crying and it brought me to tears as well. Though I have to admit at the time I couldn't understand how blogging could make you cry, well after being on here almost two months I can. Loreena also has just an amazing blog. Her spirituality and faith lead her business and it is obvious that it has made her very successful.
There are some pretty awesome Newbies on here as well. Ron Cooks who was introduced to us by Mr. Newman, he joined this month and seems to be a natural to blogging. I've read all his blogs and his history as a credit counselor seems to be serving him well as a Realtor. He's also a Texan, Go TEXAS!!
Well this is why I have loved Active Rain from the beginning!! The ability to build an Internet presence and let the consumer discover you before you meet and learn about who you are as a Realtor or real estate professional is just wonderful. But the biggest benefit to me has been the wealth of knowledge I have gained from reading about everyone's experiences in the real estate world and really just in life. I am totally new to all of this, both as a Realtor and a Rainer but I will be able to give back to this community!
