Falling snow.....be still my heart...

Hazy - HAZY??? after that photo -aptly named.. nice name.. but I totally agree with you - the photo is soft, muted hues and then you see 'red'... All GREAT! Could be a Holiday card... LOL G
That is so quaint...I just love it. Nice shot Hazy. Good for you for stopping to capture a moment in time.
Hazy - We have experienced a really dry couple of months here in Sacramento. It began raining just about an hour ago. It is slated to continue for at least 5 days. It's a relief to see the moisture! Your photo is especially nice. I like the little red church in the midst of all the white.
Hazy, what a nice photo and the red church in the midst of the snowfall is wonderful to see.
Hi Gay, Thanks for your comment. That is a great idea about a greeting card. I actually use the SendOutCards system and I will definitely make a card with this photo. Have you ever used them? Their system is amazing! Take a couple of minutes and go send out 2 free cards on me. Includes the stamps. These are real cards that arrive in your mailbox and the quality compares to a $5 card from one of htose name brand stores :) Thanks again!
Hi Debb, It is amazing how many times we see something like this with our eyes but are so busy with life that we really don't enjoy the beauty around us.
Myri, We have had lots of moisture too. These are good days for soup. I made a pot of cajun bean soup a few days ago then my hubby made a pot of caramelized onion soup yesterday. It was scrumptous! He put our servings into crock bowls, layed toasted homemade bread on top of the soup, then topped it off with a thick slice of provolone cheese. Getting hungry yet? :)
Rebecca, Come visit me so you can see that quaint litle red church. You are only a few hours away!
I really love the color contrast of the white and red! Absolutely wonderful! Sadly, we don't ever get anything like this here in Texas, but I sure would love to have a few days of it!
Hazy, Thanks for stopping and photographing that for al of us to share! It is beautiful and makes me feel as if I am there also.
Hazy, Marge sent me over from her reblog of your lovely post. The photo is amazingly beautiful and you are right the soft red is so beautiful. The lights make it sweet as well. I subscribed so that I can visit and see more of your work here. Thank you!
For those of you that think this photo would make a grerat greeting card, I want you to all go send 2 free greeting cards for free. They will arrive in your friend or family's mailbox (yes, I still love snail mail). The best card to receive is an unexpected heartfelt one. Let someone know you value them. It just takes a minute to let someone know how much we appreciate them but we are so busy that we seldom take the time to do so. My mission is to send two unexpected cards a day to see how many lives I can touch. I lost my son this past Father's Day. When something so tragic happens, it makes you rethink how you are living your life.
Hazy, That is a great photo. I also use SendOutCards and their quality is superb -- this photo will be fantastic on one of the cards.
Hazy: Welcome to Active Rain. I look forward to learning more about Asheville. The photo of the church in the snow is just lovely.
Thanks, Steve. I loved the shot myself.
Gary- Happy to meet another SOC user!
Hi Anne- Thanks for your comment. Hope to meet you in Asheville one day.
Hi Hazy,
This is a lovely photo and what a spectacular photo you took. It is a place I think most of us would love to see. It would make a great Christmas card.
I just heard about SOC from Gary Coles. Thanks for sharing.
Gary and Kristin, Yes SendOutCards is awesome. My SOC income has helped me make three mortgage payments every month. My real estate sales were down to $2.8 million last year. Not a good number for me. Hope you guys are using the system. If we aren't letting our clients know how much we appreciate them there is a huge chance they will do business with someone else. If you not using the SOC system then go send two free cards on me. NO strings attached. SendOutCards will print, stuff, address, add a real stamp and drive it to the post office for you!
