I was contacted by email from Jarrod at Websponsors.org about placing a text link ad on my website and then getting paid by Paypal the sum of $95. The solicitation looked like this:
"I am Jarrod with WebSponsors.org. My company represents a leading provider of home owner's insurance. They would like to purchase ad space on your site's page "
After placing the link advertisement for homeownersinsurance.com as directed, I requested payment. A week later they tell me my webpage does not "catch their eye" and ask me to remove the link. Are they a scam or do they just enjoy wasting people's time? Do not do business with Websponsors.org!
