Today's Email Scam. 1-20-2012

Here's another one supposedly from the Better Business Bureau. I'd like to think that they'd send a letter to me IF there was a complaint truly filed. Maybe even a phone call. But this?...

Don't fall for email scams. When in doubt, GOOGLE the name, phone number, company, anything! That usually sheds some light on what's really going on.

Eric -- usually the grammer will tip you off that it is a scam. I received email two days ago, supposedly from the IRS, but the IRS DOES NOT contact people by email. Glad you checked it out and it didn't create problems on your computer (as so many of these tend to do.)

Eric - I feel so bad because I actually fell for it. I was wondering why would a VA customer file a complaint against me in TX? I meant to call my local BBB office. I guess I dont have to now.

Steven, I have special softward installed on my computer that turns the entire email pink when it's a scam.

Melissa, I almost shed 1 tear. Almose.

Cindy, it has to just be playing the numbers. Like, would an assistant who's in charge of emails for that one day, open it?
