Greetings,
This is my first blog. I'm new to ActiveRain. I'm not sure where to begin.
A respected writing instructor once told me to use the "warm-pen method." She explained that all you need to do to get started is to pick up your pen and start writing whatever comes into your head. Sometimes what comes into your head is, "nothing." Hopefully that won't happen here.
By way of introduction, from 1980-2003 I was Broker/Owner of Chelsea Realty, Inc. d/b/a CENTURY 21 Northstar. Hello to all my former C21 Broker/Owner friends. C21 is a great company. I miss you.
Following a sequence of events it became time for me to make a major life change and not own my company any longer. First, I remarried (after being single for 22 years). Next, my Mother became very ill and needed me. Then, I started receiving heavenly bundles of love from God, called "Grandchildren," I knew it was time for me to redirect my focus. Even though I mourned my business for several years, I have not been sorry. It was the right thing to do. Life is too short to work 24/7. Selling real estate without managing others is a full time job in itself, as you know.
So now, I work out of my home office in Scio Township, Ann Arbor, MI, most mornings. Real Estate One, my current employer likes to see me in Dexter a few times a week, and Chelsea will always be "home." Much of my focus is in Chelsea. Generally speaking, I specialize in the folks in Western Washtenaw County. I have my GRI, ABR, and Senior Housing Specialist designations. Send me your referrals. I will take good care of them. Promise! :)
I noticed some of the bloggers are using graphics. That looks great. I will strive to make my blog interesting by adding graphics.
Well, I'm at a loss for words, so I think my first blog is over. My pen really did warm up..... (The warm-pen method works. Try it for yourself.)
I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you better. Hopefully we can help each other. I am really ready for this Michigan economy to turn around. It's a great time to buy. Kinda like my cat, Mac, there are days I need something to chew on to vent my frustrations. Unfortunately it isn't a cardboard box, for me. I usually find my way to the refrigerator instead!
Warm regards......Shari
