Phoenix Homes For SaleOn February 14, 2012 Arizona turns 100, and there's going to be a month long party! The last of the 48 states to be admitted to the union Arizona is one of the most biologically diverse states in the U.S.

People who haven't visited or lived in Arizona believe it's one giant desert, (remember all the John Ford Westerns), but the truth is we are home to at least 10 different climate zones and 7 million people most of whom came from somewhere else. It is one of the most beautiful places on the planet, just check out any issue of Arizona Highways.

As many of the photographers of that great magazine can attest, you can spend a lifetime discovering Arizona and never see it all. If it sounds like I'm proud of my adopted home, I am. I've lived here most of my adult life, my husband has lived here his entire life and his grandfather came to Arizona when it was still a territory. We have deep roots in the Valley of the Sun.

Thanks Karen, it should be a fun couple of months, as they say on TV, "more on this story as it develops".
