Search engine Result, How much does it cost?

We get adds flying in and out of our email on an hourly basis. Some tell us they can save us hundreds of dollars. Everything from developing a Website to a blog. We are told for a small monthly fee we will have prospects delivered on a silver plater. For a small fortune we can be on the front page of Google or any number of "search engines".

(Don't you wonder where the language for all this "stuff" came from, who assigned the words, is someone paid to think up these titles and names?) Just wondering, now back to the subject I want to discuss.

We all fight for placement. I never thought five years ago I would find myself checking everyday as to how often, how fast I will surface on the first page of a major search engine. Some mornings I feel this tingle of relief and excitement, "Yes! I am here! I did it!" It is almost as if I found myself on the front page of the New York Times.

As a professional business man I must ask. "Did the phones ring more that day, that morning? Did more leeds come in? How many prospects signed up on my Blog? Was there more interest?

I was on the front page of google! I have been told, it represent success, I was on the front page of Google! I have been told it mean something to someone, a lot of someones!

What do you think? Does it? Is it worth it? The painful truth is; I don't know. Do you?

How much did I spend to be on the “Holy Grail”, the first page of Google? I am ashamed to confess, I don't know, Do you?

What does it cost the average real estate company or agent to develop a blog? I want to know.

 What does it cost you and I to  continue to reap the benefits of being the first 10 or 12 of 24,800 results? What do you pay for that result on a monthly basis? I don't know. Do you?

So, do we go by the old adage, "You must spend money to make money"? Probably...

Do we take the time to investigate each promising declaration of success?  I would if I could.

Do we communicate with one another through a network, like Active rain? I think we need to pull together, suggest, inform, and assist one another in doing what we all do best.  Sell property.

I want to know, What does it cost you each month to have your blog or website serviced to acquire that special place on the front page, the first 10 or 12 results?
