Agents Beware -A Sure Sign You Need A New Process in Place
This past few weeks has been ridiculously busy for both myself and my husband. I'm jamming with a bunch of new short sales and he's been flying who knows where every few days. Needless to say we're a bit tired!
Since he has been leaving at 5:00 am or earlier and getting back in town really late I've tried to take on the 'kitchen' duties. Like a thoughtful wife I kindly filled the dishwasher and turned it on before I went to bed. When he got home he kindly made coffee for me, like he does most of the time.
The next morning he left really early again. When I got up it was still dark out and
I was so... needing a cup of coffee!
I saw the coffee tray pulled out (like it always is when the coffee is ready to be turned on). I turned on the ON switch and went on to feed the cat etc.
A few minutes later I came back to get my cup of coffee. I picked up the cup and reached for the pot. What? Where is the pot? I looked inside to see if there were coffee grounds and sure enough there were and it was steaming but it looked kind of funny?
Huh? Where the heck is the coffee?
I looked on the counter and floor - thinking the coffee had run all over the place - and what a mess that would be. But there was no coffee anywhere???
Not being quite awake yet I was a bit perplexed on where the coffee went.....this was just so weird!
I then tuned on a brighter light and there it was....the coffee was nicely contained in the tray! Not even one drop of it had flowed over the tray. And BTW I had just placed this new, bigger tray there a few days earlier. There is always something to be grateful for.....right!! I had to laugh cause it was pretty funny to me - even being so sleepy!
So what do you supposed happened to mess up the coffee process?
Remember that I filled the dishwasher being the kind wife that I am! And I thought that I should really clean the coffee pot and filter thingy since it had been awhile. Gary came home and made coffee, being the thoughtful husband he is - but didn't realize there was no pot. He did think it was a little odd about the coffee filter thing being so low - but it was about midnight and he was so tired and it just didn't register!
I called him after I had cleaned up the mess and started a new pot of coffee. I was laughing while I was asking him about the where-a-bouts of the coffee pot and the low filter. At first he didn't catch on to what I was talking about. What??? What are you talking about he says?
When I told him that both he and I totally spaced there was no coffee pot
to catch the brewing coffee nor was there a filter thingy in place, he just says OMG!!!
Some days you just got to laugh at the things that happen....and turn it into some fun!
How does not one, but two professionals NOT notice there isn't a pot to catch the coffee!!
Postscript....I am still laughing about it! It was just too funny!
