Motivational Power Quote
Procrastination Steals Your Future
“The greatest thief this world would has ever produced
is procrastination, and it still at large.”
H. W. Shaw, 1818-1885 writer
As I see it . . . . . . .
Procrastination steals your future
It’s easy to do put off what has to been done today until tomorrow.
Tomorrow grows into days and the weights of the days accumulate until they become the burden of procrastination.
Procrastination creates speed bumps on our success journey and when things are left undone they can create road blocks and becomes a career killer and steals your future.
When we procrastinate things start to catch up to us and we will have to make decisions. Those decisions will be made under extreme pressure and become a reaction to the pressure.
Decision make under the pressure of procrastination will not be thought out and will be reactive. In a reactive decision making process the decisions are marginal at best and the likelihood of making a bad decision increases tenfold.
In studying procrastination what people will put off doing is what they don’t like to do, what they fear doing or they just don’t want to do it.
When people don’t like what they have to do they will try to put it off as long as they possibly can without addressing the condition.
People who fear what has to be done, normally dislike confrontation and will rather let the situation sit and hope the issue goes away then address the issue.
People who decide that they don’t want to do something dig in their heels and can be stubborn in their beliefs. A stubborn person becomes their own worst enemy.
There are many reasons that someone can decide to procrastinate, none of which are productive.
The next time you find yourself procrastinating determine the root cause of the procrastination and take action and you will break down the barriers that causing the procrastination.
Stay in control of your future and time block your day. Make a commitment to yourself to do the things that are holding back first and you find yourself doing what’s important with greater efficiencies.
Procrastination steals you future, being proactive enhances your future.
