BPO's

By
Real Estate Agent with Atlanta Communities 309343
I am interested to know if there are any BPO scams to look out for. It seems like companies ask for some very private information when a realtor signs up to do these. I have signed up with one company that came personally recommended, so I know it's legitimate, but I'm not sure how to check out the ones that come as email solicitations. These also ask for a fee, payable by credit card. Any advice?

I don't work with any companies that require me to pay a fee.  So if they do then I would pass them by.  There are loads of them out there.  Join the REO group here on AR and you will find lots of advice.

I'm not sure I understand...why would you have to pay for a BPO?

Am I missing something?

Some companies charge a fee for you to register with them before they will send you any BPO's.

Mike

Hello all.  I just ventured into the world of BPO's over the weekend by signing up with 3 companies.  I received my first BPO today from Main Street and not sure how to perform in order to satisfy their expectations.  Any suggestions re. how to initiate an exterior BPO for Main Street would be greatly appreciated (is there software I should purchase?).  THANKS!!!
