Its nearly here, so if you are going to be anywhere near Elko Nevada, February 1-4, 2012, check out the 28th Annual National Cowboy Poetry Gathering. You might just be lucky enough to catch a collaboration of artists like the one here: Revel in the Journey, Performed by Robert Dennis, Lyrics/Poem by Ken Cook.

Are you a fan of Cowboys, the Old West, Cattle Ranching, or being on Horseback? Do you like live music, live poetry, or other live performances. These performances are truly a look into the American West and the heritage that many of us share. Many of the performers are the “Real Deal”, and take from their life experiences to create incredible works of art.

This particular video is from Robert Dennis and Ken Cook’s performances at the Badger Clark Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering, September 24, 2011 in Hot Springs, South Dakota.

Ken Cook is the 2010 Academy of Western Artists Male Poet of the Year. In 2007, at the National Cowboy Poetry Rodeo (NCPR), Ken's serious poetry earned him a silver buckle. Smoke Wade, NCPR emcee and poet stands firm in his belief that "Ken Cook is a real working cowboy who writes real working cowboy poetry.
