An economic indicator…
At least for Tucson AZ.
One way you can tell it’s much slower for newcomers moving here ( my main customer base) is to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles. I went yesterday to renew my driver’s license. I had not been there for 5 years. I expected the usual packed parking lot and long, long lines.
Here’s what I found. No full parking lot. No long lines. No out of state cars being inspected. Nothing. It was like I had entered the Twilight Zone.
I brought a book to read. Got through TWO pages before my number was called.
In just five years the world as we knew it has changed, at least at the DMV. Wow.
