Mapping Technology -- the latest, and how this will change the real estate industry

Services for Real Estate Pros with George Sheldon Photographer

When you click on the website link below, a world map comes up showing what strange & dangerous threats are happening at this moment in every country in the entire world & is updated every few minutes. You can move the map around, zero in on any one area & actually up-load the story of what is going on.

Global Incident Map:

There is a lot happening in our world every minute. This "map" updates every 300 seconds...constantly 24/7.

Click on any icon on the map for text update information. It's about everything happening every minute some place in the world of threats, explosions, airline incidents, etc.

This is an example of how the real estate industry, in my opinion, will soon change forever. Look at how fast updates are happening on this web site...I can see the day when this type of technology/web site will be used to show the newest listings, the houses offered for sale, etc., -- and just as they after they are listed. It will be nearly instant.

Several people have said that mapping technology will change the ways that consumers search on the Internet. I don't doubt it.

Kind of interesting and kind of scary!  I think mapping will really change real estate.  The problem for us locally is getting agents to map their homes correctly!

That map is amazing.  Never knew it existed.  I was glad to see Texas was safe at this moment.

That is scary, who knew ? Gosh, if the media report on that all the time, we would be held hostage in fear and that is what they want, right?
