I have to be stronger to get a day off

I love real estate and it is fun to me most days. I also am 58 years old so I have less energy and endurance than I used to. It is hard for me to get even 2 hour day off. It seems every time I schedule a day off something happens - a buyer calls, a seller needs me to come by for an issue, an agent on my team is unable to show homes, and on and on.

Today I am borderline sick today and still going to show homes and spend some time at the office. I really need to rest as I am fighting off a sore throat, asthma, and cold.

I have learned to cut my day short and do no more than I have to. I do know I still have suit up and show up no matter how I feel, as if I don't it will be a bigger mess to deal with in a few days.

Lori I applaud your work ethic, but you need to take care of you!  Hope you feel better soon.  Schedule that time off and commit to it just as you would for a client.

I want to SELL your home, not LIST it!

I know how you feel, having just got rid of a virus infection that lasted 14 days.  But I am getting better at taking time for myself and making sure that clients make appointments, not just expect me to be available at the drop of a hat.

Lori, you don't look a day pass 45 years old by your photo. No one should be more important than yourself, take care of yourself or you can't be a good agent for your buyer nor seller.

I understand the problem. But it is just like the old drug commercial. You just have to say no! Especially if you are having health issues. I get in the car most of the time myself also. But you have to control your schedule or be run ragged.
