MPAC welcomes Eileen Ivers in special holiday show accompanying the release of her new CD! Renowned fiddler Eileen Ivers shares the revelry of an authentic Irish Christmas in a lively performance featuring traditional carols, holiday favorites and dance tunes specially arranged by Ivers and her band, Immigrant Soul. The cherished songs of An Nollaig have been lovingly passed down through generations and are energetically brought to life through a foot-stomping, joyous celebration of the season. Eileen Ivers is hailed as one of the great innovators and pioneers of Celtic music, and her recording credits include over 100 contemporary and traditional albums including numerous movie scores. She has been called a "sensation" by Billboard magazine and "the Jimi Hendrix of the violin" by The New York Times.
