Here’s the kind of neighborhood we CAN talk about! This was taken on the shores of the Spring Creek in Hot Springs, NC. These little neighborhoods exist as part of our eco-system and when you take the time to really look at them are quite beautiful.
There were several clusters adhered to the fallen timber all along the creek. The environment there must be just perfect.
LOL Debbie, I thought it was beautiful but not necessarily appetizing. I don't think I'd EVER trust my mushroom hunting skills.
Mona - We've been wanting to take the class with The Mushroom Guy over in Asheville for a couple of years. What fun it would be to learn about them and be able to hunt without fear of poisoning ones self!
On another note - we LOVE the road between Sylva and Hot Springs (Hwy 209 I believe). What a great road for riding on a motorcycle. Some of the curves get a little narrow but it's totally cool!

Hot Springs NC??? It that what you are close to? So you are also close to the Asheville area, I would believe. I love Hot Springs, less then an hour from my location here in Tennessee. Who knew?
Hi Cindy, I wouldn't say close...it's almost an hour from the house and not my normal business stomping grounds. The clients I was working with though were very special to me and thankfully I was special to them. They had wide parameters as to where they wanted to work and although I offered to refer them to someone a bit more local, they chose not to go that route. The happy ending is that they now have an awesome house on that creek and I've learned a lot about another area I had always wanted to check out. I think you are in Johnson City, right? That's about two hours from me.
A lot of things in life really do go back to real estate, don't they Mona! That's a really beautiful "neighborhood."
It is amazing the beauty you can find when you look closely enough. Nature brings us some very cool things.
