Gratitude, do not forget to say "Thank you"

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker, Conroy, Marable & Holleman

I believe that in order to have a full life, you can not forget to be thankful for all the things that you do have. The big things and the little things.

Sit down, take 5 minutes out of your day, get a pen and a piece of paper and really start thinking about it.

Let's see ....

A house / apartment to live in,

A bed to lay down at night,

food to eat,

a car to drive,

friends,

family,

the list will go on and on, if you really start thinking about what you can be thankful for, it will be a long list. There are so many things. Things we usually do not pay any attention to, because they are just there and have so much become a part of our routine, that we don't even notice them anymore.

Only if you are grateful for what you already have, will you get what you desire.

So, I thank God every day ............

Taking times to smell the roses and being grateful for what you do have just puts it all in perspective doesn't it?  Life truly is short...and we all need to be thankful for what we have no matter how much.  Great post for this time of year!  Thanks for sharing!!

Edi,

I often wonder how many actually count their blessings and are thankful...I fear many see this activity as counterproductive...how sad and very unfortunate...I'll bet we as a nation can measure our abundance by how thankful we have been!!! Thanks,   Fran

Edi,

What a wonderful post.   I am grateful for the people the people in my life.  I have been "on hard times" in my life, so I know how lucky I am that I have a roof over my head, and food on the table.

If people would have an "Attitude of Gratitude", the world would be a much better place.

Sue: Thank you so much for your comment, smelling the roses is very important :-)

Fran: I believe if we remind ourself of our blessings we will be a whole lot happier, you are right lot's of people do not take the time to do this.

Harold: Sorry you had hard times,( I read your Blog) so glad things turned around for you. Thank you for your comment.

Meredith: If they would, I think it would be a very happy place

Sometimes we take these things for granted.  I try not to but I know I do, like having food when I'm hungry, a warm house, money, all the niceties I could ever want, and a great family.
