This is for all the people that want to post but don't know what to post. Maybe you don't feel strongly about your writing skills. The only way to get better is to get in there and do it.
Maybe you think of something, but someone already said it. You don't want to repeat anyone so you don't write anything. A lot of people agree on a lot of different subjects. If you agree with someone let them know that you agree and maybe try to add a reason as to why.
You could be afraid to post something and have it criticized. Everyone here is entitled to his or her own opinion and I've learned this is a great place to express it. I don't think I've seen one negative post yet.
Scott Gormley wrote a good blog, ActiveRain-Sifting Through it All that discusses a lot of the different ways you can interact with the community here. I think the Groups feature is one of the best ways to get started. There is something for everybody. They have some great groups like Active Rain Newbies, a must for anyone new or the AR Comedy Club if you need a good laugh or even It's Raining DOGS! Dog Lovers Group for all you canine friendly people. Find a group of something that you enjoy talking about and jump into the conversation.
As Scott wrote The Main Dashboard is a great way to read some really good blogs. The Dashboard has all of the features posts as well as all of the Top Bloggers on the site. You may want to add some of those people as an associate so you can follow their blog without having to search for it. The featured posts are hand picked by ActiveRain and are the best posts of the last day or two. These are usually very good and thought provoking.
The point of this blog is to get more people to get involved. Don't be afraid to jump in and provide your opinion. Everyone will benefit from having additional points of view. I have only been posting and blogging for a little over a week now and what I've learned is there are some genuinely nice and wonderful people here waiting to welcome you into the community. It can start right here right now. Post a comment below and get started!
