Hi Janet, we have a season for whale watching here in Southern California, but nothing like you have...thanks for sharing.
That's something I've never seen and would love to Janet............maybe it's time for me to visit your beautiful state.
Hi Janet, We went whale watching when we vacationed in MA a few years ago. Yes, you become so amazed. Love to watch whales. This is absolutely a great event Janet.
Janet- how exciting. I've never seen a whale but would love to. I can't blame you for still watching in amazement when you see them.
Hi Ronald--I think the whales are fabulous no matter where you see them.
Hi Roger--come on over!!! The weather is fabulous and so are the whales!
Hi Jackie--The whale watching cruises are fabulous and the whales often come up very near to the boats because they are very curious.
Hi Joanna--We were watching whales this morning on our walk. They have their young now and are much closer in to the shores. Fascinating.
Hi Kathy--Okay, start planning your trip to Maui!!!
Here I live on the seacoast and have never been whale watching....I will have to take the opportunity this summer.
Hi Sharon--I am sure you would love whale watching. They are amazing and graceful creatures.
I love all animals but I really love whales! The humpbacks I saw in Alaska were amazing, especially the babies. And the Orcas in Victoria, Canada....STUNNING! Can't imagine living in Hawaii and seeing them all the time.
Hi Shar--I don't know what the mystique is about whales but I do love them. We are going to the presentation tonight. Next week there is a 2-day symposium on whale research and I want to attend part of that, too.
I can totally understand your amazement with whales. I would be mesmerized if I saw a glimpse of a tale! This sounds like a great event to attend. Have fun!
One of the highlights of a January trip to Maui was the whale activity. We sat on the beach and watched whales for hours...I love them. Since I grew up in Juneau, Alaska, we saw whales a lot...it amazes me to think that the same whales make the trip back and forth from Alaska to Hawaii each year.
Hi Laura--the event was quite awesome. Greg has some amazing footage of the humpback whales very close up. He says when you look into the eye of a whale you are looking into the soul of the ocean. That gives me goosebumps.
Hi Debb--the whales' journey amazes me, too. A part of last night's program was tracking their migration, where they go and how long it takes. Pretty fascinating.
