"Creating a brighter Christmas for less fortunate Children"

This time of the year is a great way to give to many families that are less fortunate, and will appreciate it. Last night I went to 12th Annual Margarita Society Ball at the VBCC in Huntsville, AL. The Directors of this event are North Alabama business owners, and the professional community where they organize and sponsor this social event.

The admission to the Margarita Ball is by a Director's invitation and one unwrapped child's gift;ages 5-17. The toys then will be distrubeted to underprivileged children in the community. This was my first time attending and it was a awesome event. Everyone was dressed so nice(formal)-black tie. I am planning on going every year now.

Does your community do anything like this?

I also attended my first Margarita Ball and wish to make it an annual event. How do you get more info on this organization?

A REALTOR in my office is on the Board of Directors and everyone that works in my office got a invitation. That is all I know about it. Sorry I couldn't help, but I do plan on going every year I get a invitation. I do know that we had to have our invitation to get in.

Beautiful!  I do lots of charity work with similar organizations in the Las Vegas area.  Each of our little contributions makes a huge difference in peoples lives.

Love, Christin Griffin

I have attended for 4 years.  The last 3 year I have never had the invitation. And that kept me wonder that they would send me home. I did get it with my toys that I brought.  How do I do to get the invitation?

I have gone a few times now.  They don't really use Invitation's anymore .. as long are you bring in 2 unwrapped toys (most people bring more) and are dressed accordingly then you can go in.  It's amazing how many toys there were this year.  Toys for Tots isn't even done with all the drives yet.  WOW it's going to be a great year for some kids.  the dance floor this year wasn't very good.  Most of us dancers had to use the actual cement floor to dance.  blahhhhh

I went again 2009 and it was so crowded and there was so many gifts. The dance floor was very crowded. Lots of good food!
