It is interesting that an adult would be adopted at age 53. Even more interesting is that the estate wasn't set up to follow through with any wishes of the decedant. It sounds like a real sticky wicket! Estate planning is a very important aspect that shouldn't be overlooked!

This is an interesting case. First time i've heard of adult adoption. I wonder if she may of had a medical condition that warranted her being adopted at 53.
