Where are the USDA eligible properties?

One of the most common questions I receive is, "How can I tell if the property I'm interested in is eligible for a USDA - RD loan"?  I could give you a long list of requirements but here's the simplest way to tell.

First, click on the following link:



You should see a window that looks like this:

On the left side you will see a column labeled Eligibility. Under Property Eligibility click on the link Single Family Housing.

When you see the disclaimer, choose Accept. The next window looks like this:

If you have a specific property in mind, enter it. If you are interested in general areas, click on your state map, then your county of interest. This will reveal a map showing eligible and ineligible areas.

The best loan available to consumers today and surprisingly nobody knows about it. I would be careful Hal the USDA really takes the copyright Law seriously.
