If you haven't heard about it, you will notice on your renewal of your monthly pass or your round trip single purchase train ticket on Chicago's Metra line starting tomorrow.
Costs have increased and taking the Metra is cheaper then driving and parking in Chicago's Loop parking lots.
This increase has been a long time in the works and while the housing industry has hit another low in sales, it just seems like everything else is climbing in price. The fact remains, that when the housing industry was robust and out of control in appreciation, Metra stayed the same.
So, if you have a chance and the clock is still ticking ... I'd be running and getting those monthly tickets now before the 25% increase hits at midnight.
