Dog lovers from all over Southern California come to Huntington Beach's Dog Beach, also known as Huntington Dog Beach. Located at the cliffs in between Bolsa State Beach and Huntington City Beach, the area attracts dogs of all types and sizes. This is a great place where your dog can roam free with no leash and can even play in the water. The best place to park is at the cliffs where you're charged $1.50 an hour. The meters take credit cards and coins! You can also purchase an annual pass if you frequent Dog Beach. Once you park you walk North (Towards Long Beach), go down the hill onto the sand. Once on the sand you can let your dog off its leash.
If you forget your doggie bags, don't worry, they have extra for you to clean up after your dog.
There is a tent of volunteers there to answer questions as well as free bowls of water or your dog.
Dog Beach is featured in this month's "Orange Coast Magazine" as being in the top Reasons Why We Love OC (Orange County).
Dog Beach is one of the reasons I love HB!
