In prosperity our friends know us; in adversity we know our friends…

A quote of John Churton

Yes, everyone wants to be your friend when you're on top of the world however the world can be a lonely place when you have issues.  I try to reach out to those who are not the life of the party and make sure that they know they are still important to me…

Hi Paul,

I like your photo and your quote and it is so true. I love my friends whether they are on top of the world or down in the dumps, very sucessful or struggling. So many people forget their friends and co-workers when they fall on hard times. Nice reminder Paul.

Ain't that the truth! John Churton (Collins) was a very interesting and colorful man, a journalist, historian, and lecturer in the late 1800's. He's not much remembered now days, but in his time he was a very prolific writer and popular teacher. Thanks for the reminder of him.

Love the photo. Where is that?

I prefer to hang out with the wall flowers myself. They usually are smarter and a better conversation anyway.
