It's always interesting to see what's important to buyer's in different areas of the country.  
Here in the midwest, I'm finding that young couples are looking more toward neighborhoods with sidewalks rather than rural locations.  Fireplaces are still a huge selling point and wood burning stoves and energy efficiency are high on the list as well.  I have to agree, that todays buyer is interested in a move in ready house over one that requires some TLC.  Good post
