The Big Picture.

Real Estate Agent with LAR Notary and Closing Services

The Real Estate market in Michigan is not very good right now, there is no disputing that. My company has lost some agents and I'm sure the same thing is happening at other brokers offices.  A lot of people are bemoaning  the lack of buyers,  problems with foreclosures,  high listing inventories, the  credit crunch and all the other disasters that are befalling REALTORS. It seems you constantly see newspaper articles and TV news spots reporting the problem.

With all this doom and gloom it is easy to be down right now.

But guess what? I'm not going to have it.

I've decided to focus on what is going right.

Thursday is Thanksgiving but I'm going to be thankful right now.

I have a wife, 2 stepchildren, a dog and we are doing all right. My parents, brothers and sisters are too.

Right now there are people overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan who are risking their lives daily so we can have our little problems to deal with. I'm not going to talk about my feelings about the conflicts we are in right now, but I am going to voice my complete support for the troops over there.

I'm going to be with my family on Thursday watching football and getting fat on Thanksgiving dinner. But at some time during the day, I will take a minute of my time to say a prayer for our troops.

The Real Estate business will eventually get back to normal but lets not forget those who sacrifice so that can happen, not just on Thanksgiving, but every day!

Family is key in the holiday season.......business is slow here also and have seen many agents get part time jobs and this is the first year that I have not taken the last three months off as I really need to work as my business is down about half....could use a better end to the year.....

I have started trading currency http://www.movinmoney.com/ and while it has not replaced my income it does give me a better idea of what is making the dollar move......I fear next year for most the country in real estate but our local market here in Snohomish County Washington I feel will pick back up next year pretty good....

Keeping my fingers crossed...
