Tis' the season. I have recently been bombarded with questions about hunting ground. Yes, this area is very popular for white tail deer, ducks, and rabbit. I have been very surprised to hear how many people from all over the country have heard of Pike county for deer hunting. I am curious of how many people from across the country will let me know if they have been to the area or heard of others talking about Pike, Adams, Brown in Ill. or Marion, Lewis, McDonough counties in Mo.Appreciate the feedback, good luck to all you hunters! ( I barely missed a buck with my car only yesterday).

Good one Chris.
In Minnesota, I see deer (and squirrels, rabbits, birds, ducks, geese, etc) in my yard nearly every day. I tease my hunter friends who hunt deer: "How hard can it be? They stand there in the road with bright lights and horns coming at them."
I don't hunt Bambi's myself, but the deer are thick, and you can barely drive home after sunset without hitting a deer, or at least having a good scare.
When hunting season started, the family of deer in my backyard had seemed to disappear. And the kids miss them. But, just this morning I saw a white tail hidden in the woods -- there still here, they're just laying low until the season's over.
