The Noblesville School Board in contemplating what to do about the aging Forest Hill Elementary School. A study released in March revealed that Forest Hill is not suited for an elementary school for the long term.
Officials are considering replacing the school with a new one possibly near the intermediate school on Hague Road. In an effort to accommodate the explosive growth Noblesville has seen, school officials are also discussing adding another elementary school, upgrading sports facilities, and are thinking about adding a second high school.
What will become of Forest Hill if it replaced is also anybodies guess; ideas from early childhood programming, administration, and a community center have all been talked about.
Regardless of what becomes of Forest Hill elementary school, the school board is doing the right thing by addressing these issues earlier rather than later. One of the most appealing factors of Noblesville real estate is the great schools it has to offer. It is imperative that the school board does not allow the growth of the community to overwhelm the school system and that they keep the standards high in Noblesville.
