ICE (In case of Emergency) should be programmed into your cell phone.
I first heard of this a couple of years ago, and passed on the information thinking "What a great idea!" If an emergency was to occur, the respondents would check the cell phone for ICE listings - then call that/those persons listed.
Little did I know, that emergency personnel are really encouraging people to do it! It has been found most useful for hospital personnel, as EMT's rarely have the 'time' to search - they are working on you :)
So... take a moment, and program a few ICE numbers into your cell phone.
ie: ICE - Mom - 555-555-5555 ; ICE - Spouse - 555-555-1212
The bad thing is, when these folks call you, you see that ICE is calling - so add a picture - you'll be straight!
I was on my townships webpage today when this was refreshed to me. You can find the article here at E Brandywine Fire Company.
I must say, after verifying the above with www.snopes.com, there has been claims of viruses if you do have ICE in your phone. According to Snopes, THIS is false - read more here.
