My New Office

By
Real Estate Attorney with Bay Vista Realty BK671311

As I endeavor to make this office worthy of my fine Agents.  I have learned a great deal about the trades that work with us in the Housing industry.  I mean let's face it, we primarily work in the housing industry and because we work with the end consumer, we have an awesome responsibility and power.

I bring this to you because on almost every occasion that a Vendor, Contractor, Supplier, Worker, Appraiser, Painter, or whatever was supposed to arrive he/she was delayed by Traffic, birth, death, client, boss, Realtor, or other tradesman.

This in turn made me late for dinner, date (with the Lovely Mrs. Bay Vista), listing appointments, closings, what have you.

I guess what I am saying is As a whole, we are being very irresponsible and from now on, if you don't show up at your appointed time with me, I am moving on (After a brief grace period).  If you think I am crazy, Ask your Doctor what he thinks about it.  No more.

I would love some input here.

I'm one of those people where 5 minutes early is late for me, so I absolutely can't stand it when people are late.  It's disrespectful.  It bothers me even more when I know it takes someone 10 minutes to get to me and they're 30+ minutes late.  That means that when they left, they were already WAY late and they don't even have the courtesy of a phone call!  People are just plain RUDE!

Calm down Donna...just teasing  of course.

there is one school of thought that suggests...either you go with the flow or you create the flow...also known as...."Just to let ya know, if yer dealing with me and wish to maintain any cash flow thru me than you will be on time...end of story...it will benefit you to ttotally understand where I am coming from...LOL....if not, don't blame me for your thinner pocketbook...LOL

Gary:

When I retired from the US Army (after 30 years on Active Duty) I found it very annoying when people did not arrive on time for appointments.

Being late for an appointment indicates one thing very clearly - "My time is more important than yours."

Personally, I think that your time is equally as important as mine.  Rest assured that I will contact you (if possible) if I will be two minutes late for an appointment.

Ed,

23 years myself and I was not yet retired when I wrote this post, but since have.  I was up at 0430 this morning getting stuff done.

Some things just don't change.
