If you're like me you love a great "feel good" story. When you're in a climate like our country has gone through the past few years you might tend to turn to the dark side and assume that everything is negative and ugly. Then something like the Heather Dorniden story comes along and you shake yourself and say, "Yep, I can do this. I can succeed in spite of the circumstances that face me."
Enjoy the video, and find the champion that is within.
Anyone who has ever gone through the struggle, hard work, pain, expense and dedication to become a champion of anything, will appreciate a champion that much more.
Absolutely, Lenn. I've always said the one thing that impresses me over and over is watching someone who is really good at their craft. This young lady has my highest admiration.

I'm with Kristine - I appear to be turning into a heck of a mush. Life is all about falling and getting up, wiping yourself off, and continuing forward. It's awesome that she won after that fall.

That is crazy! On a mile maybe but 600 meters? how do you fall lose about an 1/8 - 1/10th of a lap and get back up and then catch up and win? AMAZING my kids ARE going to watch this as if this doesnt shout out NEVER GIVE UP what does??
I have taught my sons never to give up. I love videos like this one. The one that does not give up and gives all wins even if they loose.
