If you are thinking about frying a turkey this Holiday Season please watch this video before you make a decision. It can be very dangerous. When the bird is placed in the oil, the overflowing oil could hit the heating flames below and start a fire. You could have a fire that is out of control in a very short time. The key to frying is to use just enough oil.. so follow the directions carefully!

There are a couple things you can to do make it safer:
Put your turkey fryer outside, far from the house or flammable structures.
Before filling your fryer with oil, do this: place bird in the fryer, fill with water until the bird is covered. Remove the bird. Pour water from fryer into a measuring cup, and measure ALL liquid remaining in the fryer. Now only put that much oil in the fryer.
