Snow for Thanksgivings

By
Real Estate Agent with Breckenridge Mountain Top Realtors

The Rocky Mountains have been suffering this early winter.  The snow fall has been less than average and we only have about 3 ski runs open at Breckenridge.  This is a real estate market that survives on the vacation tourist industry.  The town is still relatively busy, but this will dwindle fast unless we see more snow.  It is a very interesting market to be apart of due to the fact that we very high priced real estate mostly used for second homes.  Our industry and real estate market thrives on the ski industry.  Last year Europe had a very poor ski season and more than average we had many European tourists.  With the dollar down and Euro up, we had many more international buyers.   The ski industry is also recognizing the fact that their industry solely relies on environment for their industry.  This is why all the ski resorts in Summit County are now reallying on wind power to run their operations.  Please don't give up on us yet there is still much more winter to come and hopefully many more snow storms.  If you and your family are planning a vacation to Summit County, don't worry there will be more snow soon,  I just can't promise an epic wither like we typically see here.  Come visit Summit County for your ski destinations, you won't be disappointed, unless you came for the 07 Thanksgivings.

Looks like Texas may get some snow in the next few days.  It was 84 degrees yesterday.

It was a brisk 81 degrees here in Central Florida today - truly wonderful with a light breeze and no humidity. This is indeed why we all live here.
