RELOCATING TO CHARLOTTE NC - An introduction to the Queen City

Incorporated in 1768 and named for the wife of King George III, Charlotte NC has constantly redeveloped herself, growing into the largest city in North Carolina.

The Queen City, as it is nicknamed, has changed from an agrarian township to a gold town, textile center and finally, a banking giant. Charlotte is currently the second largest banking center in the United States of America behind New York City, New York.

Visitors to the city are treated to historical attractions as well as a vast and varied range of events and recreational activities. Charlotte is ideally located to take in the wonders of North Carolina, as it is a short three-hour drive from the Atlantic beaches and only two hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Debe, thanks for making us aware of the shifting trends in housing in the Charlotte market. It doesn't sound all that bad, more that the buyers are getting the better deals these days.

Absolutely, Gary!  We are definitely in a Buyer's market right now but, Seller's prices are holding fairly well also.  Like the Dallas area, we are a very transient market and continue to have the influx that we've always had.  The only thing that is really slowing us down at all is that Buyers are having trouble selling their homes in other areas of the country.  Hopefully for all, that will improve in the spring!  Thanks for your comment!
