So what is happening I hear is that some Americans are selling (cashing in) their Vancouver, or anywhere in Canada, homes to buy into depressed US real estate markets with strong Canadian dollars and the profits of our strong real estate market. I had heard in the local press of Canadians buying recreational homes in the US (the article, that I can't find, was about areas just across the border) and some conjecture about Americans selling their Vancouver homes. So today I read on the Luxury Home Blog out of San Diego that some of those Amercians are putting their money back into the U.S. Also from the Mortgage Rates Report news of more Canadians investing in American real estate.
