Okay, round two…by special request. I presented the sheep this morning and now here’s another Speechless Sunday post with the Great Pyrenees and their wards, the chickens.

The buyers’ daughter and I approached the enclosure and the two Great Pyrenees pretty much ignored us and just paid attention to the chickens…until we came within 6 inches of the electric wire. Then we got a couple of chiding “woofs”. These two were working hard for their money and we respected their message.  Besides, it was freeeeezing outside in Waynesville yesterday!

DeeDee,  They were so beautiful and calm.  This must be their kind of weather, it didn't seem to bother them at all that is was so cold.

Hi Mona, The photo is wonderful. When I first saw the photo, I was looking to see if the 2nd dog was a refection of the first but I see there are reaally two. The rooster ( I think it is anyway) looks to be tending his harem with out the dogs paying much attention.

Hi William, maybe instead of adding a Yorkie to your household, you might consider one of these guys! Make sure you get a new vacuum cleaner though, lol.  Glad you liked the layout of the photo.

Gayle, they were so funny.  It wasn't a menacing bark, more of a negotiation..."woof, are you sure you want to come closer, woof".

Hi Pat, these two were extremely calm and gentle.  Maybe they weren't guarding the chickens at all...maybe it was a counseling session, lol.
