Hi Roberta, I am in Ventura CA with temps in low 70's, so I was drawn to the headline and I love animals, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by Kathy. It was extremely difficult to focus on the bison because of the wind and snow, but at least I was braving the storm and taking pictures. :-)
Hi Roberta, Now that is something I would love to experience. Just beautiful!
Thanks William - I'm glad you like it. - I really wish I could have gotten a clearer picture of the bison marching toward us, but I did get others that I will post later.
That has to be a quintessential American scene. I believe there is no place else on Earth, that you would be able to see Bison roaming snows. Wonderful picture!
Thank you soo much Myrl! I appreciate your kind words -- and yes, it is very American - never thought about it in that way.
Roberta,
That is a beautiful shot. Were you in a car when you took this? :)
Steve
Thanks, Steve! I was not in a car -- we were outside in the snow with the herd of bison headed straight for us - I did however have a zoom lens on.
Now there's something you don't see every day. I love the composition of this photo and the feeling of total dejection by the bison. Well done.
Gretchen
Hi Roberta,
I too live in California so great experience to see this snowy picture with the bison. Thanks so much for sharing such a great event. They are beautiful animals and an important part of our heritage.
