What did you learn yesterday that you will never forget?

In real estate you have to deliver the numbers. Of greater long term importance, is to be a student of the game. We have to think back each day for the lesson of the day. Reviewing positive accomplishments is perhaps the most important learning skill you can acquire.

Last week I showed up to a client meeting, pen and paper in hand with a set plan.  The agenda was to review the Realtors business plan, determine how I could be of help, and set forth a strategy going forward.  As the meeting started however I could sense we were headed in a different direction.  The meeting turned into a conversation between friends about real-world challenges, the ups and downs realtors experience almost daily, and how difficult it can be at times to maintain a positive outlook.  Ultimately we determined the best thing I can do for them today is to be an influence for good, to maintain a positive outlook on life, to be vigilant with maintaining an upbeat blog, and to be a resource when needed.

My lesson of the day is often our clients need more than just tools and the promise of superior service.  Sometimes we need to simply provide a listening ear when the world seems upside down.

Something new happens every day. Those who can figure out what it is and what it means will grow in skill, productivity, and earn many friends along the way. What lesson will you pick up today?

Its easy to focus on the negatives and the ups and down.  Its real key to be able to have the faith to see through the challenges.

Great ideas.  I'm actually keeping a daily log this year, and writing it all down helps me realize that most days, I'm more productive that I thought, which is a positive in itself.  Thanks for the post.

The daily log will also help with blog ideas.  It's amazing how many inspirational moments we have each day that we forget.  Keeping track of them helps me remember what I've learned and provides a seemingly unlimited supply of blog topics.

Thanks for sharing

Max,  What a great way to start the week.  Sometimes we just need to listen and let them vent.  Negative thoughts just linger but having positive thoughts will inspire and change the whole attitude!
