The Heart is Just an Organ, isn’t it?
Happy Valentine’s Day!
February 14th we celebrate Valentine’s Day, a day associated with love, relationships, hearts, and chocolate. Hope your day with that special someone, or multiple someones, is wonderful. And the chocolate, too!
There are numerous songs about love - falling in love, falling out of love, a lost love – and the heart is at the center of it all. Who knows how many songs feature the heart in their titles?!
But the heart is just an organ.
And so is the liver.
So what if we changed a few titles, just a bit? Somehow it’s not quite the same. But it certainly is funny.
Who can forget the popular “I left my Liver in San Francisco?”
Or “My Liver Belongs to Daddy” made famous by many singers?
Here are just a few more:
Put a Little Love in your Liver
Young at Liver
Don’t Go Breakin’ my Liver
Straight from the Liver
How Do You Mend a Broken Liver?
What Will I Tell My Liver?
When the Liverache is Over
Liver of Gold
The Liver of a Man
Piece of My Liver
Stop Draggin’ my Liver Around
Don’t Phunk with my Liver
Where is Your Liver?
Keep Me in Your Liver
Listen to Her Liver
Owner of a Lonely Liver
Open Your Liver
My Liver is Dancing
Oh, and the movies we all know (there are hundreds) – here are just a handful:
The Liver is a Lonely Hunter
Crimes of the Liver
With a Song in My Liver
None but The Lonely Liver
Abstinence Makes the Liver Grow Fonder
For more contemporary times, instead of I Heart Radio, we have I Liver Radio where you can create your own radio station.
And the ♥ on some license plates could be replaced by…well, you know.
Can you imagine a liver tattoo?!
Cross my Liver…I’m serious!
Hope I brought a smile to your face on Valentine’s Day!!
