We know that yesterday was Black Friday and people were in lines before 4:00 a.m. I can't imagine wanting anything personally bad enough to go that early to a store. The lines must be sorta like those big tailgate parties that they have on the parking lots before football games. I avoid those too but lots of people think they are fun.
But I do believe, according to how little my phone has rung today, that it carried over to today. I do believe that the ones with energy left went to the malls and decided to shop til they dropped. Me? I just curled up with a book. Not a book that is enjoyable, however. It's called "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy and describes our country or world (I'm only half way through) after something has happened to destroy everything. My assumption is that it is a nuclear war that has happened but as I said, I'm only half way through. It was the winner of the Pulitzer Prize so I know I'm learning a lot from it.
Hopefully, things will be normal on Monday. Work will be frantic and we'll be able to look forward to the next Holidays. Happy Black Saturday to all of you.
