Special offer

Sellers vs Buyers

Whats a buyer to do?  They say it's a buyers market and the sellers still have a lot of attitude.  Make a full price offer and the seller says thanks but I ain't moving until February.  Oh yea I don't want to pay rent either for two months.  I just wish the agent had put this in the MLS, I had no idea.  The agent hasn't even asked for her commission which she could demand.  I think she just doesn't want to upset her client.  I guess business isn't that bad after-all.  As for me and my client, we will have to keep looking.

Hi John,

I believe the seller's agent should have had the fact that his seller wasn't moving until February on the MLS sheet or when the appt. was made let you know of the seller's plans.  I had a listing and I was upfront with everyone that the sellers were building and would be moving until the end of October.  The property was listed in early July and the closing was on Oct.30.  The buyer was happy to rent an appt. until then and the seller stayed. Everyone had an understanding and the price was accepted.  I hope thing turn around on this one for you.

John, the selling agent is one of those who don't return calls i bet. She should have stated this up front. Unfortunately we all have to get along. You never know when you will cross this agent again or the brokerage. If you ever do business you know to ask more questions up front.
