10 Stewart Place, White Plains, NY is located in the 10603 zip code just 2 blocks from the White Plains City Center. It features many of amenities of the more expensive complexes, but being tucked away on the quieter Stewart Place, brings the price tag down significantly. Built in 1987, the complex sports an exercise room, a pool, sauna 24-hour doorman among other things. There is deeded parking. One space for smaller 1 BR units and 2 spots for larger 1 BR units and 2BR units. The location is perfect for those who want to be close to the center of town, but prefer of tree-lined and quiet street at the end of the day.
There are two types of 1 BR units. The 1 BR/1BA units are roughly between 800-900 sq.ft. in size. The larger 1 BR units are the size of 2 BR units (1100-1200 sq.ft.) They also have an extra bathroom. The two BR units are also between 1100- 1200 sq.ft. Some of the newly renovated units have hard-wood floors and granite kitchens and marble baths. Newly renovated come at higher price.

There have been several sales over the past six months. The 1 BR/1BA units sold for an average $345,000. The 1BR/2BA units sold for an average of $400,000. Only one 2 BR unit sold for $507,000. Common Charges on a smaller 1 BR unit averaged about $425/month and taxes with a single STAR were roughly $235/month. Using a 30-year-fixed-rate loan at 6.5 % and allowing for tax deductions, the average outlay for a 1BR /1BA unit would be about $2100 a month – which is very competitive with current rentals.
